Dark Edition2006 DUCATI 749
ABOUTThis 2006 Ducati 749 Dark is said to have spent most of its time registered in California, prior to being acquired in 2025 by the selling dealer in Arizona. Finished in black, the bike is powered by a liquid-cooled 748cc Testastretta L-twin paired with a six-speed transmission. Equipment includes a steel trellis frame, 17″ Marchesini aluminum wheels, triple Brembo disc brakes, and adjustable suspension with a Showa inverted fork and a Boge piggyback monoshock along with black two-up seating, clip-on handlebars, and Remus carbon-fiber mufflers. This 749 Dark has 13k miles and is offered at no reserve with owner’s manuals, two keys, a tool kit, and a clean Arizona title.
The Pierre Terblanche-designed, fully faired bodywork is finished in black and mounted over a steel trellis frame in silver. Other features include an integrated clear windscreen, dual vertically stacked headlights, and fairing-mounted mirrors with clear lenses fitted to the integrated turn signals, in addition to a vented tail section, black rider and passenger seats, an aftermarket license plate relocator kit, and a side stand.
Gray-finished Marchesini 17″ aluminum wheels are mounted with Bridgestone tires. Brembo braking components include dual 320mm rotors and four-piston calipers up front along with a 240mm rotor and a two-piston caliper at the rear. Adjustable suspension consists of a Showa 43mm inverted fork as well as a Boge piggyback-reservoir monoshock connected to the two-sided swingarm and a linkage.
Clip-on handlebars are secured below the upper triple clamp, and red-finished billet covers have been added to the hydraulic reservoirs. Instrumentation ahead consists of a Magneti Marelli 13k-rpm tachometer topped with indicator lights as well as a multifunction digital display with readouts for speed, coolant temperature, voltage, and time of day. The digital odometer indicates 13k miles, approximately 100 of which were ridden under current ownership.
The liquid-cooled 748cc Testastretta L-twin is equipped with a 54mm Weber-Marelli throttle body and desmodromically actuated valves, and Remus carbon-fiber mufflers have been fitted. Per the selling dealer, recent work has included changing the oil and replacing the battery along with the fuel pump and lines.
